Pasco County is getting ready to shine a little brighter this holiday season.
A new $10 million holiday attraction called Wunder Glow is scheduled to open in November 2026 in Dade City, bringing a large-scale, immersive holiday experience to the rapidly growing area north of Tampa. The attraction is being developed by the team behind Snowcat Ridge, Florida’s first alpine snow park. WFTV reports that the new experience will span approximately 50 acres.
Located at 27839 Saint Joe Road, about 35 minutes north of downtown Tampa, Wunder Glow will feature a mile-long walking trail winding through a mature oak forest. Along the route, visitors will encounter more than a dozen concert-scale light scenes, with nearly all of them synchronized to their own music.
But Wunder Glow is being designed as more than a traditional drive-through or walk-through light display.
Plans also call for interactive experiences, holiday photo opportunities, visits with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and a Christmas Village, creating a destination intended to keep visitors on-site and engaged throughout the evening. Wunder Glow’s official website confirms the attraction is scheduled to debut in November 2026.
Wunder Glow will operate separately from Snowcat Ridge, with its own entrance and facilities. Snowcat Ridge is expected to continue operating its regular winter season, effectively giving the property two distinct seasonal attractions.
Another Investment in Pasco County’s Growth
From a commercial real estate perspective, the $10 million investment is another interesting indicator of how Pasco County continues to evolve.
For years, much of the county’s growth story has centered around new residential communities, retail development and expanding transportation infrastructure. Increasingly, however, Pasco is also attracting entertainment, recreation, dining and destination-oriented concepts that draw visitors from beyond the immediate area.
That matters.
Regional attractions can bring additional visitors into an area, support nearby restaurants and retailers, create seasonal employment and introduce consumers from throughout Tampa Bay and Central Florida to communities they may not otherwise visit.
Wunder Glow’s location also places it within the broader growth occurring throughout central and eastern Pasco County, where residential and commercial development continues along corridors including I-75, State Road 52 and US 301.
The investment follows the success of Snowcat Ridge and demonstrates continued confidence in the area’s ability to support destination-style entertainment concepts.
As Pasco County’s population grows, so does demand for places to shop, dine, work and play. Developments like Wunder Glow add another layer to that story — helping transform the county from simply one of Tampa Bay’s fastest-growing residential markets into a destination in its own right.
This holiday season, that transformation may be especially easy to see.
